Great for the price, so far
These replaced 8-year-old Michelin Defenders on my 2001 Saturn Sl. The michelins were old, probably hard, and getting to the wear bars. I don't know how long they lasted on the car because they were on the car when I bought it 2 years ago. The Achilles are much quieter on the highway, have about the same traction as the Michelins on dry roads, and light rain roads, even when I push it. A mixture of City driving, tight mountain roads, and fairly high speed twisty Mountain highway. I've only got about a thousand miles on them so I can't speak to longevity. I have also not driven them through heavy rains, where the old Michelins were hydroplaning from wear. I'm hoping the Achilles will handle the heavy rains. The tread looks similar to the Defenders, and I see no reason why they shouldn't shed water well. We shall see.
